Amber Collins Crane started acting as a teen and will never forget how it felt when she experienced the power of the truths she could reveal as an actor. She was hooked immediately, and for the past 25 years she has worked in television, film, and theatre in NYC, Los Angeles and across the San Francisco Bay Area. She currently resides in Tennessee and is frequently seen on local stages there. Amber has a B.A. in Theatre and has trained at Michael Howard Studios, Berkshire Theatre Festival, and Actors Theatre of Louisville. She has also studied with Bernard Hiller, Margie Haber, Carol Fox Prescott, and many others.

Alongside Amber’s acting career, she has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has been in private practice for over 10 years. While in graduate school, Amber focused her research on the psychology of the artist, exploring both the tendencies of the artist’s psyche and how best to support creative processes in the artist.

Her doctoral dissertation was a phenomenological study that explored the concept of identity in the actor and the ways in which actors use their work as a path towards self-discovery, healing, and compassion. Amber loves supporting artists in their process and walking with them as they reveal their truest self and greatest gifts.
